Troubleshooting
Frequently asked questions
- How does the time card calculator work?
- Enter your clock-in and clock-out time and any unpaid break (in minutes) for each day. It converts each day to hours, adds up the week, splits it into regular and overtime, and multiplies by your hourly rate to show gross pay.
- How is overtime calculated?
- Hours above your weekly overtime threshold — 40 by default — are paid at the overtime multiplier, 1.5× by default. You can change both to match your local law or contract; regular hours are paid at your normal rate.
- Does it handle overnight shifts and lunch breaks?
- Yes. If clock-out is earlier than clock-in, it treats the shift as crossing midnight. Enter your unpaid break in minutes and it is subtracted from that day's hours.
- Is my time and pay data uploaded anywhere?
- No. Everything is calculated entirely in your browser — nothing you enter is uploaded, stored or shared, and no signup is needed.
