Images are processed in your browser and never uploaded.
How to use Exam Photo & Signature Resizer
- Pick your exam and whether you are resizing a Photo or a Signature — the size boxes fill automatically.
- Check the numbers against your official notice and tweak Width, Height, Min KB or Max KB if they differ.
- Drag your photo or signature onto the box, or click to choose it.
- Click "Resize & compress", then download the JPG that matches the spec.
Common use cases
- SSC & bank (IBPS/SBI) applications.
- NEET, JEE & other NTA exams.
- PAN card & Passport Seva.
Tips
- Scan or shoot your signature on white paper in good light, then use Fit so the whole signature is kept.
- For photos, centre your face before uploading — Crop to fill trims evenly from the edges.
- If the file comes out under the minimum KB, raise the Max a little or increase the dimensions slightly; some portals only enforce the maximum.
Troubleshooting
Frequently asked questions
- Does this upload my photo or signature anywhere?
- No. The image is resized and re-encoded entirely in your browser with a canvas. Nothing is sent to any server — safe for documents you would not want on a random website.
- Which exams are covered?
- Presets for SSC (CGL/CHSL/MTS/GD), IBPS & SBI bank exams, UPSC, NEET/NTA, PAN card (NSDL) and Passport Seva. Choosing one fills a typical pixel size and KB range for a photo or signature — every field stays editable.
- Are the default sizes guaranteed correct?
- They are typical, widely-used values, but portals change specs between notifications. Always confirm the exact dimensions and KB limits on your official exam notice, then adjust the Width, Height, Min and Max boxes to match.
- How does it hit a KB range like 20–50 KB?
- After resizing to the exact pixels, it re-encodes as JPEG and searches for the highest quality that stays under your Max KB. If that is still below the Min KB the file is simply small at those dimensions; the tool tells you so you can raise the size if the portal insists.
- What is the difference between Crop to fill and Fit?
- Crop to fill scales the image to cover the whole box and trims the overflow — best for photos so the face fills the frame. Fit scales the whole image to fit inside and pads the rest with white — best for signatures so no strokes are cut off.
